Kindra Davis, a 6th-grade teacher at Clive Learning Academy, has had the privilege of working with many students throughout her career, but some stand out as exceptional in multiple categories, such as Curtis Pizinger.
"I have had the honor of working with Curtis Pizinger for the past three years," Davis told Clive News. "In my time working with Curtis, he has made a significant growth both academically and in personal responsibility for his academic achievements."
Only 11 years of age, Curtis is passionate about giving his all in the classroom.
"He consistently participates in class, asks questions and works hard to complete his work on time," Davis said. "Curtis perseveres when he is challenged and actively seeks out resources to support his independence."
In addition to succeeding academically, Curtis also has a rich social life at Clive Learning Academy, Davis said, as he is well-liked by his peers and teachers.
"I have no hesitation in nominating Curtis Pizinger as a student of the month. His perseverance and determination to do well in school make him a strong candidate for other students to look up too," Davis said.
