Famous Bollywood actor Sonu Sood’s sister Malvika Sood Sachar will join Congers on Monday, January 10. Harish Chaudhary, AICC Punjab affairs, and Punjab’s Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi are expected to formally reach her home in Moga to induct her into the Congress party.
Last year, In November, Sonu Sood announced that his sister would join the Punjab Congress party and contest Punjab polls from Moga- Her hometown constituency.
Earlier, actor Sonu Sood met some leaders, including Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal, and Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Badal.
In an interview with a news channel, Malvika Sood Sachar said, “Yes, I am joining the Congress Party on Monday. CM Charanjit Singh Channi and Harish Chaudhary will be reaching my home for my joining. I will contest polls from Moga.
Presently, MLA of Moga, Dr. Harjot Kamal of Congress, got the party ticket again. However, some sources inform that he has been asked to compete in elections from other constituencies and evacuate Moga for Malvika Sood Sachar.

- PUNJAB SEES 264% SPIKE IN PATIENTS ON OXYGEN SUPPORT IN 24 HOURS
Apart from a swift rise in Covid-19 cases in Punjab, a cause of panic is the increased number of patients on oxygen in the last 24 hours.
According to the state’s medical bulletin published on Saturday, January 8, 2022, only 226 patients were put on oxygen support. Earlier the number was 62 on Friday. This was a dramatic rise of 264% in just 24 hours.
It is said that only 23 patients were on oxygen support on January 1. However, the state reported 3,643 Covid cases against 2,901 on Friday. Therefore, the patients on the ventilator went from 6 to 11. On January 1, 2022, no patients were on ventilator support.
